Have you found some pretty fonts while browsing through websites but do not know which font it is? “Inspect element” may not be a good option for everyone and it can be hectic to go through the HTML line, look out for the CSS class and identify a font. And in the case of image based text, it’s not possible to identify through inspecting. That is why to make your work much easier, here we have a collection of font identifier tools. Identifying the font is much easier with FontEdge. All you need to do is click anywhere in the big white box to upload an image and as you click each letter, a small box will appear underneath the window. And the font name is in front of you.
WhatFont is another free option which can run directly from your bookmarks toolbar. Simply activate the bookmarklet on any website and you can easily distinguish between various fonts on the page.

You may know Quora as a Q&A type website but one particular category is dedicated to typeface identification which makes it easier to identify the font you are looking for.

Type Sample acts as a bookmark applet, kind of like a mini-program written in JavaScript. By clicking this bookmark website, fonts can be identified instantaneously.
Reddit /r/IdentifyThisFont is one of the subreddits, the mini-forum that aims at identifying the typography with ease.
If you’re ever having trouble with the font identifiers, TypeID forum is a good starting point to ask for help directly from live human beings. It is the bulletin board community on Typophile.
